Storage Instructions: Use a clean and dry spoon. Refrigerating it extends its shelf-life by another 3-6 months.
Ingredients: Coriander seeds, Jaggery, Turmeric, Tamarind, Red Chilli, Jeera, Hing, Lentils (Toor Dal), Salt, Dehydrated Tomato, Curry and Coriander leaves.
- For 40g (3 Tbsp approx.) of this mix, add 400ml warm water and mix well.
- Close the container with a lid and bring it to boil.
- Boil for 10 minutes on low flame.
- For tempering, splutter one tspn mustard seeds in oil. Add to the Rasam and cover with a lid to seal in the aroma.
Recommended: Add freshly chopped tomatoes and coriander leaves while the Rasam is boiling, to enhance the taste. Serves 2.
