Basundi (NEW LAUNCH!)
Basundi is a popular sweetened condensed milk dish prepared by boiling milk on low heat until the milk is reduced to 25% the volume. It is generally served with chopped nuts such as almonds, cashews, and pistachios and edible Gold/Silver. This dish is popular in the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra & Andhra Pradesh. Predominantly prepared for Deepavali, this dish is popularly flavoured with cardamom and saffron.
Ingredients: Milk Cream, Almonds, Cashews, Pistachios, Saffron, Cardamom & Sugar
- Heat about 75ml of milk in a thick bottom vessel
- Add 50g (3 tbsps) of iPaaka Basundi to it and stir continuously. The mixture starts to thicken in about 3-5 mins
- Switch off the flame once it has a thick soup like consistency and let it cool down to room temperature. Refrigerate for 1-2 hrs and serve chill. Serves 1.

Tip: Once Basundi cools down, you can pour it into kulfi moulds and freeze for 3-4 hrs.
