Storage Instructions: Use a clean and dry spoon. Refrigerating it extends its shelf-life by another 3-6 months.
Ingredients: Coriander seeds, Jaggery, Turmeric, Tamarind, Cinnamon, Red Chillies, Jeera, Hing, Lentils (Toor Dal), Dry Coconut, Salt, dehydrated tomato & onion, Curry and Coriander leaves.
- For 40g (3 Tbsp approx.) of this mix, add 400ml warm water and mix well.
- Close the container with a lid and bring it to boil.
- Boil for 10 minutes on low flame.
- For tempering, splutter one tspn mustard seeds in oil. Add to the Sambhar and cover with a lid to seal in the aroma.
Recommended: Add freshly chopped tomatoes, small onions and coriander leaves while the sambar is boiling to enhance the taste. You can also add any choice of vegetables that can cook in 10 mins to it. Serves 2
